Description

the thinly potted round sides painted in vivid tones of cobalt-blue and iron-red with four stylised lotus heads crowned by curling stems of foliage, double-line borders at the rim, the base with the six-character seal mark

Condition

The cups are in good condition, and are well matched as a pair in term of painting and size. There is a firing line to the interior of one bowl, of approx 0.4cm. To the other bowl, there is a short firing line under the glaze on the base, of approx 0.3cm, and an ironspot on the interior.
