Description

the cylindrical vessel revealing the joints of the bamboo culm at the top and bottom, an inscription expressively carved in bold running calligraphy between the joints, which may be translated as, 



'The place you see these flowers is just in the city of Loyang',



the wood of reddish-brown tone, the calligraphy stained a darker brown

Condition

In good condition with few age cracks. There are four tiny insect bores on the mouth rim, along with minor scratches. The foot rim with two areas of wear.
