of slightly flattened form, depicting the mythical beast with finely incised mane and tail, head turned back over its shoulder, with a sprig bearing two lotus blossoms in its jaws, the stone of a pale celadon with a few pale russet suffusions
Condition
overall good condition, internal flaw to back and haunches which has been partially incorporated into carved detail, traces of old blue to underside from former mount
