Description
carved in the round in the form of a pomegranate, with leaves and stems depicted in high-relief, the seeds of the fruit finely incised, hollowed from the top to form the bowl, the inscription to the side can be translated as 'In the jiazi year [corresponding to 1624], made by Zhu Sansong at Ning Shou Hall', Japanese wood box (2)

In good overall condition with some discoloration and wear to the base. There appear to be old breaks to some of the stems.
