Description

of cylindrical form with waisted neck, the body slightly tapering to the spreading foot, twin elephant head and pendant ring handles to the neck and shoulder, the neck and body deeply carved with bands of taotie, qilong and gui dragons in archaistic style, the conforming cover with similarly carved band around the sides, surmounted by a Buddhist lion with brocade ball, the stone of pale green with scattered white inclusions and pale russet-tinted fissures, carved apochryphal Qianlong mark to the underside of the foot (2)
