a pair of six-panel screens, ink and gold flakes on paper mounted on brocade

Condition

Top screen - There are slight stains to the following: 1st panel from the left - There are small spots in the middle. 2nd panel from the left - There is a spot of a small area above the pines. 4th panel from the left - There is a stain to one area just below the pines. 6th panel from the left - A few areas in the middle and the the left edge has thin edge folded and turned (should be fixed) as seen in the illustration (approx. 20in) Bottom screen 2nd panel from the left - There are two tears, each measuring approximately 10 in. 3rd from the left - There is a tear of approximately 10 in. 4th from the left - There is a long tear of 40 in. from the middle to low section. 5th from the left - There is a minor tear of approximately five inches. 6th from the left - This panel has a minor tear of about eight inches in its lower section. All of the above can easily be fixed.
