sarubo with maple leaves decorating both cheeks, fitted with three-stage ita yodarekake (throat protector), the ears deeply cut with earlobe, the two-piece construction russet iron resseimen mempo of fierce expression with crisp modelling of wrinkles and teeth, with high cheeks and protruded chin (2)

Condition

Sarubo (black lacquer ), chin has a star crack and left of the open mouth has three parallel cracks as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. There are minor lacquer cracks to the other area including under the chin but overall condition is good. Iron mask - There are some surface light rust on the whole surface as can be seen in the illustration and interior lacquer has numerous cracks, otherwise good.
