Description
the archaistic wall vase of hu-form with qilong-form handles flanking the neck, the body carved in low-relief with a taotie mask above stylized cicada lappets, band of scrollwork to the neck, the stone of mottled dark green, shading to paler mottled green at the base; the second of flattened bottle-form, the slender neck with flared lip, the tapered base on a spreading stepped foot, the body carved in low-relief with a wide archaistic taotie band with shou character, geometric lappets at the neck, leiwen border to lip and foot, the stone of mottled dark-green with lighter inclusions and black specks, flaw to the neck incorporated into the carving (2)

mounts to back of wall vase lost, wall vase with some minor scattered flaws, a few scattered minor flakes to edges, non-disfiguring; second vase with tiny flake to edge of lip, non-disfiguring, otherwise good condition
