Description

of shallow circular saucer-form, decorated with a wide band depicting the bajixiang ('Eight Buddhist Emblems') among floral sprays and scrolling scarves, centered by a floral medallion encircled by floral scrollwork in lime-green, ruyi-head border to rim, three floral scrolls to the underside of the cavetto, underside with six-character mark in iron-red; together with a similar large dish, underside with six-character Xuantong mark in iron-red and of the period (2)

Condition

The first with wear to gilding, particularly in the center, slight abrasion to enamels, two small glaze flakes within central gilt circle, the second dish with minor rubbing to enamels, otherwise good
