Description

of slightly flattened cylindrical form with waisted neck and tapering to a low, waisted foot, twin ruyi-head-surmounted loop handles with pendant rings at the shoulder, the body carved in low-relief with a central horizontal band centered by taotie masks, bands of stylized cicada lappets above and below, the slightly domed cover similarly carved, surmounted by a hollowed bi finial, the white stone of very pale green tone with a few scattered white and light gray-brown inclusions, finely carved and polished, wood stand (3)
