the unglazed biscuit deity in dhyanasana, her crown with a lotus leaf below the Amitabha Buddha, set in a niche within a celadon rockwork shrine, flanked by two attendants at the lower section, with flame-like tendrils rising from the base and projecting to the sides and top of the shrine, culminating in a moon-disc at the top, the reverse left plain with two circular apertures

Condition

The shrine in good overall condition, with the celadon glaze a slight gray color. Some restoration to the tresses of hair with pieces restuck, especially to the proper right side. Her proper left earing chipped and missing. The celadon glaze is thick and with craquelure.
