Description

the curved shaft applied with green-colored ivory archaistic gui and ruyi-head motifs, interrupted at the foot and mid-section with white jade plaques of circular and ovoid form, a larger ovoid plaque forming the terminal, each finely carved in relief with scenes of scholars among rocky and tree-lined landscapes, the wood of reddish-brown with very smooth patina

Condition

The terminal ivory piece in good condition, the wood frame has some reglued parts. The frame around the center jade plaque requires tightening or regluing. There are no obvious chips to the jades.
