brightly enamelled to the interior with a scholar leaning on rockwork and sipping a cup of wine, all within a fenced garden, the base with an apocryphal six-character Chenghua mark within a circle

Literature

Compare to two dishes similarly painted with Chenghua marks in Li Yi-Hua Qing Porcelain of the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Periods from the Palace Museum Collection, pl. 56 and pl. 57, pp 227 and 228.

Condition

Generally good condition, several pinholes and minor iron spots to the glaze to the interior and exterior.
