naturalistically cast, the beast standing four-square with head turned slightly to the left, the cover in the form of a young boy playing a pipe

Condition

This rare censer and cover are in good overall condition with the exception of a slightly uneven patinataion, two repaired casting flaws (contemporary to manufacture) to the elephants back, and the end of the boys flute has become detached.
