Description

painted with a pheasant on a rocky outcrop besides fruiting branches of peach, with a bird of prey above flowering branches of prunus and bamboo in a mountainous landscape, below shaped panels of flowers on a diaper ground at the shoulder, with a band of lappets at the foot

Condition

The jar is in good overall condition with the exception of some rim fritting, speckled discolouration and misfiring to the glaze and to a small area of the underglaze blue on one side of the body, some minor firing imperfections including blister, iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead-sized glaze holes and light glaze scratches.
