Description

the body of hexagonal tapering form rising from a stepped spreading foot to a ribbed neck with everted rim, freely painted in soft cobalt-blue tones with two cusped panels enclosing figures, all between classic scroll and lotus-lappet bands

Condition

This rare incense holder is in good overall condition with the exception of a 2cm., long hairline firing line to the foot with associated glaze stress lines, minor fritting, some minor firing imperfections including iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead-sized glaze holes and light glaze scratches.
