Description

the gently flaring sides rising from an angled base and short straight foot to an everted rim, freely carved to the interior with a leafy lotus stem and covered overall in a transparent ivory-white glaze falling in characteristic teardrops down the exterior, rim metal bound

Condition

This bowl is in good condition, but has a minor (2mm) shallow glaze chip and some surface scratching to the glaze to the interior. There is also some iron spots to the interior. There is some iron spots and some pin holes to the glaze of the exterior. There is some minor pooling of the glaze in areas above and on the foot. There is a minor 1cm manufacture incision above and on the foot below the glaze.
