A CELADON-GLAZED 'CHRYSANTHEMUM' BOWL SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY

the crisply-potted lobed and rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a foliate rim, covered overall in an olive-green glassy glaze, 11cm., 4 3/8 in; together with a lobed cup, a 'lotus' bowl, a small bowl, and a 'lotus' dish

Chrysanthemum bowl: Has a large area of glaze built up against one side of the exterior of the foot. The glaze has pooled to the interior base and has crackle to this area and the exterior. Brown Dish: Is in good condition, has crazinig to the glaze to the interior and exterior. The lotus bowl: This has crazing to the glaze to the interior and exterior and has a crack to the rim, approx 2cm. Small bowl: Good condition. Moulded chrysanthemum bowl: Good condition but has crackle to the glaze to the interior and exterior.
