Description

the deep rounded bowl rising from a tall spreading foot, covered overall in a transparent ice-blue glaze, 5.8cm., 2 1/4 in; together with two 'Qingbai' lobed dishes

Condition

stemcup: This is in good overall condition with some minor fritting to the rim. A 6 mm firing flaw (underneath the glaze) emitting from the rim, is less visible from the exterior. Some glaze chips on the foot. The interior with one concentrated area of glaze cracks and chip. Potting flaw on foot covered with thick glaze. small dish: Suffused with glaze cracks, particularly to the exterior. One hairline crack on the side approximately 2 cm. Three tiny nibbles to the rim. Thin kiln grit on the rim. Pinpricks near the foot. larger dish: Scattered kiln grit throughout, most concentrated on interior well where the glaze has surface abrasions and is a bit dry. Some glaze cracks on the exterior with a 5 mm crack on the rim associated with a tiny chip. Miniscule pits to the glaze on the interior.
