Description
the box of cylindrical form rising from a recessed base to a stepped incurved mouth, finely carved around the exterior with a peony scroll and covered in a pale bluish-white glaze, the straight-sided flat cover similarly carved and glazed, the internal concave cover surmounted with a small knop and glazed to the top surface

Condition
The box and cover are in good overall condition with the exception of a 12 and 5mm., wide shallow flake to the underside of the internal cover, light staining to the glaze, some minor firing imperfections and light glaze scratches.
