Description

the body of inverted bell shape, brightly decorated with lotus strapwork reserved on a turquoise ground between a gilt-bronze lotus-lappet band at the top and an enamel lappet band at the base, the vase-shaped stick with galleried sconce

Condition

There is a dent to one side of the base (approx 7cm long), with related large are of turquoise enamel loss above the base rim. There is a 3.5cm by 4mm area of turquoise enamel loss at the lower part of the body above the dent. The top cylindrical and galleried section are most likely later editions.
