The ewer was inspected under UV light; the sole area of fluorescence was on the apparently later-added knob on the foot under the handle, which causes some wobbliness. One 2 cm oval area of kiln adhesion on the lower section of the body, partly covered with glaze. One 1 cm area of glaze pull on the body. The thick glaze with scattered pinholes and pitting. The amber glaze is not as pronounced as the catalogue image suggests.
