the baluster body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck with cup-shaped mouth, covered overall in a dark chocolate-brown glaze draining to a buff tone at the rim, 11.5cm., 4 1/2 in; together with a similarly glazed water pot, Song Dynasty, and a ewer, Song Dynasty

vase: In good condition with degradation to the glaze. A restored chip to the rim 1.2 cm wide, and a small original potting flaw on the rim 3 mm wide. Some miniscule glaze chips on the shoulder associated with an upside-down V-shaped glaze crack (did not fluoresce under UV light). ewer: Good overall condition with a small burst air bubble under the upper section of the handle where it joins the body. Chips to the foot, the largest approximately 7 mm. water pot: Slight glaze degradation with glaze pull in two sections of the shoulder and potting flaws with small burst air bubbles on the shoulder and foot. Minor surface abrasions.
