each modelled as a crouching lion with head raised and a trumpet-shaped aperture to the back, covered overall in an olive-green glaze

Condition
One candlestick is slightly more grey in color than the other, this same example with a restored trumpet-shaped aperture, revealing restored glaze chips and crack. UV light revealed restoration to the lip, 3 cm, near the crack. Minor retouching to the glaze on its rear. The other piece with a different surface quality, with craquelure throughout. Evidence of wax to the interior of the aperture.
