Description
the ovoid body carved with overlapping stiff lotus petals rising from a recessed base, the stepped rounded shoulder and tall cylindrical neck applied with a large scaly dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl, the domed cover surmounted by a bird finial
Condition
This vase and cover is generally in good condition, however there are four minor firing cracks to the rim, and several areas of glaze crawling to the side of the body. The glaze colour is inconsistent throughout the body and darkens to the centre, neck and lower section on different sides. There is a shallow 6cm chip to the underside rim of the cover.
