Description
vividly woven in brightly coloured silk and gold thread with a large scaly dragon emerging from tumultuous foaming waves and surrounded by cloud and fire scrolls, all reserved against a red ground, framed
Condition
This panel is generally in good condition, however there is a 6cm by 1cm area of re-stitching to the top left corner. There is two areas (3cm by 2cm and 2cm by 1cm) of repair to the cloud scroll to the upper left side of the panel. There is a 1cm diameter hole and area of fraying by the lower right claw. There are areas of staining, to various areas to the panel. The panel has been sown to a later backing and mounted onto a stretcher and framed within a perspex case.
