Description

each of pale celadon colour, clad in flowing robes and seated in Royal Ease, one with high cowl and hands beneath her robes, the other figure with russet flecks to the lower body and robes and holding a scroll in her right hand, the hair stained in black and the robes carved with cloud scrolls and the edges in scrolling foliage, wood stands

Condition

The figures are generally in good condition, the second one has an area (4cm by 3cm) to the underside of the base that appears to be a reworked shallow chip. There is also a 5cm by 6cm natural flaw to the underside of the base, which is darker in area. The other figure has two similar smaller areas to the edge of the base.
