A RARE 'FAMILLE-ROSE' ARMORIAL OCTAGONAL GUGLET AND BASIN FOR THE PORTUGUESE MARKET QING DYNASTY, QIANLONG PERIOD

comprising of a pear-shaped guglet and a deep broad rimmed basin, each brightly enamelled with the arms of Joaquim Inacio da Cruz Sobral, amidst gilt and green enamel floral sprays and swags  

This rare basin and guglet are both in very good condition with the exception of minor nibbles to the inside edge of the rim, minor rubbing and loss to the gilt decoration around the neck of the guglet, a 2cm., scratch to one of the arms on the guglet, a 2cm., long hairline firing line to the interior of the basin, and minor firing imperfections including iron-spot glaze imperfections, pinhead glaze holes and light glaze scratches.
