each baluster body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck, brightly decorated around the exterior with pairs of birds perched on and in flight over floral sprays issuing from rockwork, all reserved on a dense trellis diaper turquoise ground between ruyi and lotus-lappet bands, the neck similarly decorated with floral sprays between bat and cloud and ruyi bands

Condition

There is a 3cm diameter dent and an 8cm diameter area of restoration to the side of one vase. There is also rubbing to the gilding to the interior, rim and base of each.
