Description

of cylindrical form, carved with four square panels, each enclosing a mountain riverscape with sages greeting each other, observing lotus, washing paulownia trees and fishing in boats, all amid pine-forests and pavilions, the flat base with an inset depression enclosing the apocryphal Chenghua mark

Condition

There is an 8cm hairline from the rim on one side and a star crack on the base, but otherwise the overall condition is still quite good. The carving is clear and the glaze is clear with only a few minor iron spots.
