Description
of slightly waisted cylindrical form, finely and deeply carved around the exterior with a crab and toad seated amidst leafy lotus stems issuing from rockwork, the wood patinated to a warm rich honey tone, the mouth and base wood mounted
Condition
This brushpot is in good condition, but has several minor cracks to the lower sides running from the base, one of which has been filled. There are traces of glue to the base, where it has been adhered to its wood stand
