A CELADON JADE CARVING OF TWO PEACHES QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

naturalistically carved and pierced as a pair of ripe fruit borne on a leafy gnarled stem, carved in high relief to the front face with a pair of bats in flight, one clenching a ribbon-tied 'Longevity' symbol in its jaws, the other a swirl of ruyi-shaped clouds, the stone of pale celadon tone with small areas of russet inclusion

This jade is in good condition, but has several flaw lines running through the reverse to the underside and one running through the centre of the front. The colour of the piece is slightly darker than in the catalogue.
