Description
the hexagonally lobed deep body rising from six short ruyi-shaped feet to an everted rim, finely carved to each side of the exterior with a square panel enclosing a scholar and his attendant in a landscape, all reserved on a dense lotus strapwork and trellis diaper ground, the interior and base lacquered black
Condition
There is damage (missing) to the lacquer under each foot and the underside area between each foot (and on each foot) has been overpainted. There is some overpainting to the interior rim and evidence of green and red painte to the interior and interior rim. There is also some flaking to the enamel to the interior rim.
