Description

the gently sloping sides rounding at the shoulder to a tall neck, painted with a dense design of Buddhistic lions amongs scrolling peony, below a band of ascending leaves at the neck, the cover with cloud and fire scrolls

Condition

This jar has some fritting/glaze inconsistencies to the rim. There is two 5cm hairline cracks running from the rim. There is also two long cracks to the body (26cm and 25cm long) running to the base. There is also some rubbing to the iron-red enamel in various places
