Description

the ovoid body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall elegant waisted neck with flaring rim, the neck applied with a pair of delicate ruyi-form handles, finely enamelled and gilt around the exterior with children playing musical instruments in a fenced garden, all between lotus-lappet and ruyi bands, the neck with lotus strapwork reserved on a turquoise ground

Condition

This finely enamelled vase is in very good condition with the exception of very minor flakes and rubbing to the gilding, pinhead burst glaze bubbles, a firing line partially encircling the base in the interior, a 5mm., diam., slight firing depression to the exterior of the lower body, and very light glaze scratches.
