each of bottle shape, the globular body rising from a short spreading foot to a tall flaring neck applied with a pair of stylised dragon handles, finely enamelled to the front face with a medallion enclosing a butterfly hovering above flowers, the reverse with a four-line calligraphic inscription, all reserved on a gilt lotus-strapwork and coral-red ground

Condition

The vases are both in very good condition with only the lightest of rubbing and loss to the gilding, very minor glaze scratches and a tiny iron-spot firing impurity in one of the medallions (visible in the catalogue illustration).
