Description

each stick of archaic 'gu' shape, brightly enamelled with lotus strapwork on yellow, green, pink and turquoise bands, set around the lower body with four blue-enamelled 'dragon' spandrels and all supported on an iron-red and gilt circular base set on four ruyi-shaped feet

Condition

Both candlesticks are in very good overall condition with the exception of a 3x1mm., enamel flake to the edge of one of the dragon spandrels, minor rubbing to the gilding and iron-red decoration, light glaze scratches and a tiny flake to the coral red enamel on the edge of one stand.
