Description

the body of double-gourd form, painted overall in a rich copper-red with fruiting gourd vine, all between double lines at the recessed base and everted rim

Provenance

Private Collection, Japan

Condition

The vase is in very good condition with the exception of light glaze crazing around the body and some glaze scratches. It should be noted that the copper-red is of a richer redder tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
