Description
the body of tapering cylindrical form and surmounted by a broad tall waisted neck, brightly enamelled around the exterior with a scene of figures in a landscape from historical literature
Condition
The vase is in very good overall condition with the exception of a 7mm wide flake to the edge of the footring, very minor glaze firing imperfections including burst glaze bubbles and iron-spots and light glaze scratches. It should be noted that the enamels are of a brighter and stronger tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
