Description

the body of baluster form rising from a recessed base to a short narrow waisted neck, finely enamelled around the exterior with a mountainous river landscape scene, to the foreground a family watch their small boy's hat fly off into the distance

Condition

The vase is in excellent condition with only loss to the gilding around the rim, a tiny burst glaze bubble at the rim and the lightest of glaze scratches. It should be noted that the finely painted enamels are in very good condition and of a stronger tone than the catalogue illustration would suggest.
