Description
of archaic form, the central globular body rising from a tall spreading foot to a tall trumpet neck, carved around the exterior with stiff leaf bands and covered overall in a rich aubergine glaze, 19cm., 7 1/2 in; together with a pair of aubergine-glazed brushpots of waisted cylindrical form

Condition
The gu is in very good condition with the exception of two tiny glaze flakes at the rim, and glaze scratching predominantly to the interior of the flaring rim and two areas on the upper body. The brushpots are in good overall condition, with the exception of a 9mm. wide shallow flake to the edge of the base of one, and minor glaze flakes around the rim to the other, minor firing imperfections to both and light glaze scratches to both.
