Description
finely cast seated in lalitasana on a lotus pedestal base inscribed with the single character Jing, the hands held in varada and vitarkamudra, the elegantly waisted figure wearing a diaphanous dhoti and elaborate hard-stone inset jewelled waist band and necklace, the scarf-draped arms entwined with long multi-stemmed lotus flanking the shoulders, the face with high arched brows over almond-shaped eyes, a broad nose and smiling bud-shaped mouth, all framed by wheel-like earrings and a five-pointed hard-stone inlaid tiara
Condition
This finely cast bronze is in very good condition with the inlay appearing to be all intact and contemporary to manufacture; there is very slight rubbing and light scratches to the gilding on the extremities and the base has been detached.
