Description
each with a flattened globular body ending in a short, straight neck, decorated on both sides with a circular panel vividly enamelled with large peony blooms amidst rocks, the sides with formalised shou character medallions and applied on each side of the neck with two dragon handles, the base with an apocryphal four-character Qianlong mark
Condition
The moonflasks are in good overall condition with the exception of a dent to the corner of one footring, a 7mm., dent to the other mouth rim, characteristic enamel shrinkage and tiny holes and rubbing and loss to the gilding on both.
