Description

the body of baluster form rising from an elegant spreading foot to a trumpet neck, brightly decorated around the exterior with three rectangular panels enclosing lotus flower heads reserved on a trellis-diaper turquoise ground, all between lotus-lappet and floral scroll bands

Condition

The vase is in very good condition with the exception of light denting and scratches to the inner mouth rim with associated minor enamel loss and repair to the blue ruyi band beneath the rim, a circa 6 x 3mm., triangular flake to the enamel on one panel, minor enamel shrinkage and holes and rubbing to the gilding on the rim and foot.
