Description

each with gently rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted gilt rim, finely and brightly enamelled to the interior with a medallion enclosing flowers, fruit and a butterfly, encircled in the well by a yellow ground floral band, a diaper band with bats amidst clouds, and a floral scroll band, one enamelled to the exterior with dragons amidst clouds and reserved on a yellow ground, the other with a floral scroll reserved on a yellow ground

Condition

As illustrated: both dishes are in good overall condition with the exception of: the dish on the left has a 2cm., wide crescent-shaped area of enamel crazing and an associated tiny enamel flake to the outer rim; the dish on the right has two (3 and 6cm.) hairline craze lines to the enamel encircling the interior of the base, a 2mm. flake to the enamel on the outer rim and several tiny enamels flakes beneath the nmetal-bound rim.
