finely painted with an oval panel enclosing 'Charity' and three children, one cradled in her arms, the other two clinging to her legs and shoulder, behind them hangs a large heavy tasselled curtain drawn to the side to reveal a landscape, all reserved on a rich blue ground and inscribed in gilt to the lower edge 'BUT THE GREATEST OF ALL THESE IS CHARITY', contemporary Chinese gilt-wood frame

Examined in the frame: this finely painted work is in very good overall condition with the exception of only very minor scratches to the painting.
