Description

depicting Shoulao riding on the back of a crane on a rock with pines, deer and bats rising from the sea, the jade a pale celadon colour with mottled brown areas

Condition

Overall good condition with the exception of a tiny chip to the top of the rock at the top right of the carving. There is a small area of caramel-coloured speckling across the base and lower part of one side. The colour of the carving is of a slightly darker olive tone than the illustration suggests.
