Description
the recumbent beast curled around a large ball, the pale celadon stone cleverly carved utilising the russet skin to emphasise the mane and tail, the head raised and with large bulging eyes and jaw wide open baring its sharp teeth
Condition
The carving is in overall good condition. The colour of the jade is of a slightly more olive tone than the illustration suggests. There are a number of fine hairline fissures/veins running across the back of the lion.
