Description

the body of robustly-potted baluster form rising from a slightly concave base to a broad short tapering neck with rolled rim, painted to the front and back face with a pair of elegant  ladies and their attendant, divided by large peony bushes and beneath a ruyi collar and floral strapwork band at the neck

Condition

There is a hairline crack to the rim that extends 12cm down the body. At 1cm below the rim it branches into two other cracks. There is also a 0.8cm star crack to one side of the body and four other cracks to the body (visible to the interior) and numerous glaze scratches. There is also a number of glaze cracks and misfiring/brown discolouration to the glaze.
