Description

the body of ovoid form rising from a recessed foot to a broad short neck with lipped rim, brightly decorated around the exterior with 'one hundred deer' amongst trees and rockwork, all between a lotus-lappet band at the base and a band of lingzhi and peony sprigs at the neck 

Condition

The Wucai jar has been riveted 2.5cm above the foot, right around the whole piece. There is rubbing to the iron-red in several places and surface wear to the central area and scratching to the glaze throughout the piece.
